American Legion Brings Christmas to the Troops

November 17, 2012

URBANA — Members of the Urbana American Legion Post 71 have a special holiday tradition.  They raise funds to bring a little Christmas cheer to troops serving our country in Afghanistan, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Germany, and Italy.  This year, the Legion shipped items to 19 soldiers, spending over $7,200 on 1,980 pounds of Christmas Cheer.

Prairie State Gaming is proud to provide video gaming terminals to the American Legion as a part of their fundraising efforts.  With funds from video gaming, the Post 71 is able to provide even more services to needy veterans and troops deployed overseas.
