URBANA-Prairie State Gaming today installed some of the first video gaming terminals in Illinois at the American Legion post in Urbana. Five IGT E20 terminals were installed at the Legion’s facility in anticipation of live operations commencing later this month.
“We’re thrilled to be one of the first to install machines. We talk about delivering on our promises to our customers” said company President Rob Miller. “Today we delivered.”
The company’s Chief Operating Officer Mike Morris was equally enthusiastic “This is three years of planning finally paying off for the kinds of veterans clubs the 2009 law was meant to help.
Next steps in the process for Urbana’s American Legion include connection to Scientific Games’ central system scheduled for August 9, 2012 and authorization by the Illinois Gaming Board to go live. “Games will be in play soon. The Urbana Legion will be among the first in the state to have games” Miller added.
