October 9, 2012 OAK FOREST– Illinois Video Gaming commenced live operations today in nearly a dozen locations serviced by Prairie State Gaming this afternoon. “We promised our customers they’d be ready once the State was ready” said Prairie State Gaming’s President Rob Miller “and today we delivered on that promise.”
The Illinois Gaming Board requires that Terminal Operators have their financing approved before their games can go live. According to an IGB Press Release today, 29 of the 72 licensed terminal operators have the IGB’s permission to operate games.
As games commenced operation around the state, the news coverage began.
