Prairie State Gaming has been selected as a finalist for the 2015 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. The award was established to recognize companies with a strong commitment to supporting employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve.
“We constantly do our best to support our veterans and reserve members and we are humbled to receive this recognition.” said PSG President Rob Miller. “The Freedom Award is the DoD’s highest honor for employers that provide extraordinary support to our Guard and Reserve employees.”
Prairie State Gaming will now compete with 30 other semi-finalists for the top award in the United States. “We’re incredibly proud of our Guard, Reserve, and veteran employees, and humbled to receive this award” Miller noted.

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense (DoD) office, has selected 2 employers from Illinois as semifinalists for the 2015 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. Congratulations to the Rolling Meadows Police Department and to Illinois Gaming Investors (Prairie State Gaming) – Hinsdale, Illinois. The Freedom Award is the DoD’s highest honor for employers that provide extraordinary support to their Guard and Reserve employees. ESGR will announce the 2015 Freedom Award finalists after a review board comprised of military and civilian leaders selects 30 finalists, followed by the final award recipients that will be announced in early summer and honored at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
